Holding Their Feet to the Fire - Verico the Mortgage Station
The old idiom "hold his feet to the fire"alludes to an ancient test of character that, sadly, David Flude, Renee Dadswell, and Lisa Purchase, the brokers at Verico the Mortgage Station, and their allies W. Mark Squire, President and Chief Operating Officer, Verico Financial Group Inc. and Yvonne Ziomecki-Fisher, Executive Vice President Marketing and Sales of HomeEquity Bank, appear to be failing in a very public and humiliating way.
Everybody knows that it is only those who are ashamed of their actions who wallow in the darkness.
We don't know how long David Flude thinks he can continue to ignore the exposure of his criminal and ethical abuses of trust, as almost two years is a very long time to do nothing about somebody you claim is lying about you:
- David Flude has admitted to knowing about the illegal loan sharking in an email from almost two years ago.
- David Flude lied six times in two emails (Email 1) (Email 2) to evade an investigation by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA).
- David Flude lied to a prospective client, which we know because she carbon-copied us on her final scathing retort to being lied to by David Flude.
- David Flude has repeatedly refused to meet the client his brokers defrauded by usury even though he admitted in an email that doing so was a 'regulatory requirement' of his license as a mortgage broker.
- David Flude had the most to gain when a detective of the South Simcoe Police Service felt 'motivated' to omit key financial evidence and falsify formulas as a way to exonerate the brokers at Verico the Mortgage Station of an indictable offence that carries with it a prison sentence of up to five years.
- Neither David Flude nor any identifiable person or entity about which we have reported as part of this expose documentary, have expressed any kind of concern about the accuracy of our reporting, nor have they contested a single allegation. That is an endorsement of the accuracy of our reporting.
- David Flude, through an 'anonymous agent' 😉, 'threatened' to sue our Producer , with special bullying intimidation being paid to our twenty-something-year-old interns and apprentices. However, despite being a multi-million-dollar company, backed by a bigger multi-million-dollar company, and allied to a multi-billion-dollar bank, none of these huge financial companies has mustered the courage to challenge the claims or evidence of our small, not-for-profit, social enterprise in any court of law.
- Based on visitor data, it appears that the brokers at Verico the Mortgage Station and their allies at Verico Financial Group Inc. and HomeEquity Bank are experiencing more than a little difficulty finding a lawyer who will represent their interests in the proposed abusive form of litigation. The reason for that appears to be our history of defeating nine lawyers from three Bay St. law firms as a self-represented litigant defending against the exact same kind of unsanctioned Strategic Litigation Against Public Participation (SLAPP) lawsuit that has been threatened by David Flude but not filed with any court.
It is also a fact that due to the need for us to take this issue public, which happened only after we were ignored by Verico the Mortgage Station, Verico Financial Group Inc., and HomeEquity Bank, David Flude, W. Mark Squire, and Yvonne Ziomecki-Fisher have become quite well known within their industry for huffing, puffing, and bluffing, but then doing nothing to prevent us from telling this fully-supported story of criminal and ethical abuses of trust.
It does not require a lot of decoding for people to figure out why these supposedly ethical financial professionals will not defend against our allegations.
So, almost two years after publishing our first public article, and emboldened by half a dozen corroborating stories involving the brokers at Verico the Mortgage Station, it seems that we have no choice but to flush out the clearly not very "ethical"and "honourable"liars, manipulators, and loan sharks using other fully legal means of exposure. One idea now gaining momentum with our supporters is public protests outside the offices of Verico the Mortgage Station, Verico Financial Group Inc., and HomeEquity Bank (see this page - April 06, 2024). Those assemblies, that are protected by Section 2 (C) of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, would include providing advanced notice to all local mainstream and alternate media. We will also now be pushing for an investigation of all three companies by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA). We are confident, given our current and growing level of exposure, that the complaint will not be simply pushed aside due to the kind of 'motivation' that caused a police detective to omit key evidence and falsify figures.
This matter could have and should have been handled quietly, with David Flude accepting responsibility for the crimes of his brokers, and refunding all the stolen money, not just part. Instead, financial and mortgage experts, like the Big Five business banker our Producer met on March 28, 2024, are asking questions like this about David Flude and those who, for whatever reason, blindly follow him:
"Is this person mentally ill? I mean you don't let something like that be told about you.
If it is true, you fix it, and if not, you silence it."
Already, a simple Google search shows any prospective client that David Flude and his allies are shady, unprofessional, ethically questionable loan sharks who were not 'mistaken' when they charged 198% interest on a personal loan because almost two years later, they still have more than half the money they stole. They have also never apologized. Instead, they have evaded meeting for almost two years regardless of the 'regulatory requirements' that demand it, and the management team at Verico Financial Group Inc. and the board of directors at HomeEquity Bank have proven themselves to be accomplices and co-conspirators, which we have publicly accused them of being and they have never contested our allegations. These people are showing that they are neither virtuous nor worthy of trust. An ethical person treats others with respect and takes responsibility for their actions. The hide and evade tactics used by the Verico the Mortgage Station are the scheming of cowards, with their 'leader' hiding behind his allies in the darkest regions. The cowardice demonstrated by their inability to step into the light has cost them hundreds if not thousands of dollars in potential income for every dollar they stole from their trusting client through loan sharking, so either they are idiots, or their need to hide indicates that they have a lot more to conceal than their cowardice would warrant for this single crime.
We know the multi-million and multi-billion-dollar corporations thought we would go away in time, but we are in truth growing through our own allies and activists, and we will continue to hold their feet to the fire.
