This 'threat' was sent by an anonymous coward who feared signing their own name.

Why is the HomeEquity Bank, an asset of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP), valued at more than $247.5B, working with loan shark mortgage brokers who prey on seniors and veterans, while draining the resources of local charities, and why are they afraid to challenge the evidence and allegations of a small not-for-profit?

Late Night Researcher Delves Into the Facts and the Evidence - Verico the Mortgage Station

It seems that our educated guess about a pending judgement (June 27, 2024, on the Latest News page 'It Might Just Be That Judgement Is Pending - Verico the Mortgage Station) might have been right on the money, because Thursday night and all day yesterday, our traffic was the busiest we have seen in several weeks. During the wee hours of the morning, during the hours of 2:00, 3:00, and 5:00, one, or possibly two, insomniac visitor(s) viewed more than 140 pages on both this stand-alone domain and our website for Five Points Media. The final totals, as of midnight last night, were 97 visits to the Five Points Media page and 102 look-sees of this stand-alone domain.

Research was clearly the intent of the visit.

To be fair, about thirty of those visits, at least on the stand-alone domain, were the result of redirects, as the visitor checked out the now non-indexed version of several of the stories still hosted on the Five Points Media website that redirected them through coding to the appropriate new domain address. They also seemed to be checking out those pages from a Google search, which they did from the privacy of hiding behind a proxy server and pretending to be visiting us from all over the United States and Europe, so we cannot conclusively confirm who they were.

However, their interest seemed to be HomeEquity Bank much more than anything else, and they checked all the pages about who we are. Everybody about whom we have been reporting for more than two years knows those pages all too well, so there is no reason for a middle of the night feeding frenzy of our content.

Our suspicions cannot be conclusively confirmed, but there is only one new kid on the block.

Katherine Dudtschak is the new President at HomeEquity Bank, and as of July 1st, she also takes on the mantle of CEO. That means, she is now the highest-ranking representative of the Schedule 1 Canadian Chartered Bank who decides, or heavily influences, policy regarding with whom HomeEquity Bank does business. She brings with her a very respectable history of 35 years in banking at Royal Bank, and a litany of charitable associations that she has assisted directly. In short, she is much more like our philanthropic team that donates all services to charities, not-for-profits and benevolent community groups, than she ever could be to the manipulators, compulsive liars, and loan sharks at Verico the Mortgage Station who target seniors for illegally high levels of interest, such as 198.25% on short-term bridge financing.

Yes, that is speculation, but we are working on the basis that the persona she projects is truly who she is.

In an editorial from last year in the Edmonton Journal, Katherine Dudtschak wrote about inclusion for LGBTQ community members in the banking and finance world, and she also took part in an event called Sleep Out, for which she stated, "On November 16, armed with a sleeping bag, I will sleep outside so that the youth at Covenant House Toronto can ignite their potential."

Due to our 'boots on the ground' constant support for those most in need, we can say that very few people in our community are as socially responsible as Katherine Dudtschak appears to be.

Katherine Dudtschak's actions are practically mirrors of our own support for the LGBTQ community and those who must live without shelter within our community. We have also focused special interest on helping youth who are homeless. During a recorded multiple person online chat called "LGBT+ OUT Leadership", Katherin Dudtschak bravely told her story of transition, which we respect took much more courage to do than most people will ever be asked to muster in any public forum.

It is easy to talk a good show, but active participation is very different.

In our homebase of Barrie, a hard blue Conservative city, our team stands openly in support of the LGBTQ community, so much that if you click the 'Full List' button on the top banner of our Five Points Media website, you will see a list of the various videos we have donated to our community. About two thirds down is a button marked 'Pride' which is the only standalone 'social issue' subdirectory. We have not only recorded PRIDE every year since its local inception, including during the pandemic through a special keep-your-distance boating Pride, we have also reported on a variety of other events like a drag show held on CFB Borden by military personnel. We have, in fact, formed such a strong and lasting bond with the community of Barrie Pride that we were honoured to declare our centrally located and easy to spot studio a safe space for anybody feeling threatened or in any way harassed because of who or what they are. Our decision to support our community, and especially the most vulnerable, has resulted in threats of civil action, all of which we defeated based on the evidence, multiple unwelcome visitors, physical assault against our crew, bomb threats at our studio, and even several drive by shootings of our vehicles and studio.

Regardless, we have never backed down, and frankly we never will.

Two years ago, David Flude evidently believed he could just talk and lie his way out of his responsibilities to the law and his ethics, by lying six times in two emails (Email 1) (Email 2) to evade investigation by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA). The Principal Broker at Verico the Mortgage Station also told some whoppers to a potential new client who sought a mortgage of $800,000.00 but ended up taking her business and a commission of about $8,000.00 to another broker after calling out the repetitive liar and supporting the truth of our reports and videos.

Now it seems that his deception and abuses of trust are coming back to haunt him.

The simple reality is that the brokers at Verico the Mortgage Station committed fraud by usury, or loan sharking, and despite having been provided with unredacted copies of the evidence, no member of management at Verico Financial Group Inc. nor their counterparts at HomeEquity Bank have shown the courage to explain how, at least in their alternative universe, it is ok for a brokerage that is selling their services to charge a client 198.25% interest on short term bridge financing. These 'professionals' know the laws of lending, and they know that charging anymore than 60% in interest and fees is an indictable offence called usury, which is punishable by up to five years in prison. That is, of course, why all three of these multi-million and multi-billion-dollar companies have done nothing but hide for more than two years while we continued to report the truth while presenting tangible evidence.

This has been a case of an old boys' network covering for their own, but nobody expected this story to remain active for two years, and now none of them knows what to do.

We have never asked for anything from any of these licensed 'professionals' other than an on-camera interview through which they could explain their side of the story and if they could sufficiently prove we are wrong, we would drop the documentary. Honestly, can we be any fairer than that, but even that incentive was not enough to pull any of them out from the darkness, which speaks volumes to most people. They also must face the fact that their victim of fraud by usury, our Producer , is a highly respected philanthropist and supporter of his community, and that he has a history of taking on corruption and abuses of trust and ethics and has defeated every attempt by the wealthy or politically connected to silence his right to report the truth.

The lies they told two years ago about who are and why we are producing this expose documentary are now simply falling on deaf ears as the facts and the evidence and the inaction on their part tip the scales.

When they pulled their con and committed the crime of usury, or loan sharking, the brokers of Verico the Mortgage Station evidently did not know that our community production service Five Points Media is a not-for-profit, social enterprise, media service that has donated more than $700,000.00 in skilled labour and production facilities to our community by providing, free of charge, at least 350 videos to more than 180 charities, not-for-profits, and benevolent community groups. They also did not know that in 2020, our team was nominated and voted to the highest levels for an award for altruism that was presented by the City of Barrie and the Barrie Chamber of Commerce. They also apparently did not know that we have a hard-earned reputation for taking on corruption and assisting average Canadians who cannot fight the wealthy, powerful, and connected to secure their rights.

In simple terms, they stepped in it big time and now they don't know what to do.

It is not fair, as she has done nothing so far to add grief to this story of fraud by usury, followed by total disrespect to a client, but it appears that Katherin Dudtschak may be left with the task of weighing the facts and evidence of our claims, as told consistently for two years by a highly respected philanthropist and advocate for the poor and powerless who has asked for nothing but conversation, weighed against the lies and misinformation of loan sharks whose only defence has been hiding and threatening, but then not following through. Those who committed the crimes and their allies who tried to cover them up are now fully exposed for what they did solely because of their own decisions. They have no genuine means of stopping us from reporting the truth, which is why they huffed, puffed, and bluffed but failed to file their demand for injunctive relief to stop the production of our fully supported expose documentary, based solely on our response to their vacuous chest beating. Their response, to hide and cower in the dark has only increased our exposure, as we told them would happen. Instead of taking responsibly for their actions, they have collectively ignored the 'regulatory requirements' of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) by refusing to meet with their shared client to file a report, and for hiding from their legal and ethical obligations, and by threatening to file a despicable Strategic Litigation Against Public Participation (SLAPP) civil claim lawsuit that was not rooted in reality and fact by fuelled by a desire to silence their client through intimidation to avoid their responsibility.

This is the list of facts that Katherin Dudtschak must face on her first day as both President and CEO of HomeEquity Bank:

  1. Lisa Purchase extended the schedule of the mortgage from three weeks to nine without explanation, so she and her colleague, Renee Dadswell, could set up their mark to accept levels of interest and fees on a loan that qualifies as an indictable offence punishable by up to five years in prison.
  2. Renee Dadswell charged a rate of interest and fees of 198.25%, when the legal limit under lending laws is 60%, which can only be applied in extreme situation.
  3. Renee Dadswell, with the assistance of Lisa Purchase and the full knowledge of David Flude skimmed from the client's mortgage the sum of $499.75 as interest and fees on a loan of $2,000.00 that was outstanding for only 46 days.
  4. The setup by Lisa Purchase that relied on slowing down the lending process resulted in the defunded and almost closure of a not-for-profit community media service that donates all services to charities, not-for-profits, and benevolent groups, leaving organizations that help many of our poorest and most in need without the ability to actively fundraise or educate and serve the public who depend on them.
  5. David Flude lied multiple times to evade investigation by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) for loan sharking a senior, veteran, and philanthropist, while draining the finances of a charitable, not-for-profit community media service that has helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for those in need in our community.
  6. David Flude refused to meet that defrauded client, as did W. Mark Squire, President and Chief Operating Officer, Verico Financial Group Inc., and Steven Ranson, then President and CEO of HomeEquity Bank. Pursuant to the 'regulatory requirements' of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA), and both legally and ethically, each had an obligation to investigate the claims of this serious indictable offence that carries punishment upon conviction of up to five years in prison.
  7. Management at Verico Financial Group Inc. and HomeEquity Bank refused to meet with their shared client or to initiate an investigation of fraud as committed by the brokers at Verico the Mortgage Station even though both knew the loan sharks were selling on trust the services of their corporations.
  8. The brokers at Verico the Mortgage Station, and the management teams of Verico Financial Group Inc. and HomeEquity Bank have been monitoring this story extensively throughout the past year, but instead of confronting our allegations, they have chosen to hide in silence.
  9. None of the companies or individuals we are exposing has contested a single claim made by our team, and each of the brokers of Verico the Mortgage Station, and the management teams of Verico Financial Group Inc. and HomeEquity Bank have refused to reply to emails or otherwise communicate with the client they defrauded or assisted to deflect. Now that more than two years has passed without any of them contesting the validity of any of our claims, all are considered legally to be uncontested and therefor factual.
  10. An 'anonymous agent' representing David Flude ;-) threatened to file a contemptuous and court scorned Strategic Litigation Against Public Participation (SLAPP) civil claim based on an unsubstantiated claim of libel, when in truth, that type of claim has been essentially banned by the Supreme Court of Canada as being nothing but a bullying tactic used by corporations and the rich against individuals and groups that are working to expose wrongdoings by those people and corrupt corporations.
  11. The claim was never filed, and neither was the threatened demand for injunctive relief that the shadowed shill boasted would prevent us from telling the truth through our expose documentary that will include details of how three multi-million and multi-billion-dollar corporations made a collective choice not to defend themselves against fully supported claims of fraud committed against seniors and veterans through loan sharking, even though those claims are being made by a small, not-for-profit, social enterprise that exists to help its community.

Katherine Dudtschak has some interesting times ahead as she takes full control of this Schedule 1 Canadian Chartered Bank of which the Board of Directors has never, in two full years, contested working as allies to cover for loan sharks who defraud seniors and veterans, while draining the resources of community charities.
