This 'threat' was sent by an anonymous coward who feared signing their own name.

Why is the HomeEquity Bank, an asset of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP), valued at more than $247.5B, working with loan shark mortgage brokers who prey on seniors and veterans, while draining the resources of local charities, and why are they afraid to challenge the evidence and allegations of a small not-for-profit?

Social Media Post Reaps Appealing Results

About a year ago, when we moved this story from the Five Points Media website to this standalone domain, we chose to limit discussing this project on our community programming social media. We wanted to see how the subject matter would stand on its own, and we are happy with the results. Yesterday, however, gave us little choice but to mention this documentary, as it is not every day that the County of Simcoe scours our domain, and given the crossover of issues about which we are currently focused, those being mortgage fraud and homelessness, and how they inevitably affect each other and the County of Simcoe, we needed to be open about why they might be visiting. That post can be found here.

The result was the most traffic we have seen in a single spike in many months, and it has inspired us to open 2025 with a bang through social media exposure. Let's see how well and for how long the loan sharking brokers of Verico the Mortgage Station, and their collaborating associates at Verico Financial Group Inc. and HomeEquity Bank can hide from multiple posts on a variety of platforms. Our previous posts on Facebook, that we boosted across the County of Simcoe, were viewed by between twenty to nearly fifty thousand people. Now, as Verico the Mortgage Station slowly fades into history, we will be boosting videos to densely populated regions acrosss Canada where seniors and veterans buy the CHIP Reverse Mortgage from HomeEquity Bank.

We have no doubt that the County of Simcoe and the South Simcoe Police Service want the public embarrasment of our reporting on this story to end, but the simple fact is that the councillors of the County of Simcoe chose to do nothing to protect seniors when we reported the facts and provided the evidence directly to them, and the South Simcoe Police Service first refused to investigate, then talked only with the multi-million-dollar brokers, and then omitted key evidence and falsified calculations so they could cut a break to the wealthy and well-connected corporation that apparently due to our reporting is now losing staff like water through a sieve, converting offices meant for an expansion into apartments for cashflow, and selling their newly constructed custom built offices at a fire sale rate of a million dollars less than their initial price. Meanwhile, based on the data derived from our website and YouTube visitor logs, the latter of which shows reduced numbers due to data screening on our part, HomeEquity Bank is losing upwards of $80 million a year in lost potential.

People looking to invest their life savings with a broker or bank tend to be skittish when they read fully supported allegations of fraud that the multi-million and multi-billion-dollar corporation will not defend.

County of Simcoe Comes Window Shopping

A weekly review of our visitor logs reveals that on January 8th, 2025, the County of Simcoe, which are the administrators who oversee and finance warming shelters and other services to the unsheltered community of Barrie, reviewed several pages of our website.

We are not quite sure what they were looking for, as they visited only our 'about' and 'contact' pages, plus one community video we produced for a local musical organization.

Our best guess is they are trying to ascertain, at least to their satisfaction, that we are in fact a media company, which they should know as during the past 12 years, we have produced and donated numerous programs about charitable events from one side of the county to another, including a series of videos produced for police, fire, ambulance, and various social services.

They are also fully aware that we are currently researching and producing an exposé documentary about mortgage fraud that focuses partially on one brokerage in Lefroy, Innisfil, that has defrauded senior and veteran clientele through loan sharking.

As part of our fact-finding for that ongoing documentary, we produced a short video entitled "Simcoe County Council Showing Zero F#Cks Given About Local Loan Sharks Defrauding Seniors", which can be found at https://themortgagestation.tv/simcoe-county-council-shows-zero-concern-about-loan-sharks-defrauding-seniors-verico-the-mortgage-station.html

We also produced, more than a year ago, two videos about the South Simcoe Police in which we openly accused that the detectives omitted key evidence and falsified figures to cut a 'get out of jail free card' to the multi-million-dollar brokers, who are being covered for by a multi-billion-dollar bank.

Those videos can be found at https://themortgagestation.tv/south-simcoe-police-service-now-omitting-and-falsifying-evidence-to-protect-loan-sharks-verico-the-mortgage-station.html and https://themortgagestation.tv/south-simcoe-police-service-cook-the-books-to-help-rich-crooks-verico-the-mortgage-station.html

Neither the County of Simcoe nor the South Simcoe Police have contested any part of our reporting, nor denied our allegations.

In fact, despite our airing of their dirty laundry for more than two years, NONE of the official or corporate entities we have exposed has taken any action to silence our reporting, which we think is very telling of itself.
